I agree it's pretty stiff. But, one weird thing I do like is the somewhat grabby finish to the rubber of the cord. I've been mostly using them at work, and the cord sort of stays in place on my desk surface when I'm working, which is really convenient!

It's really cool that you can just buy another straight mini-to-mini cable though and customize this phone that way.

Are people reporting much in the way of sonic improvements if you go with a higher end cable?

Cables don't make a difference in SQ, unless their garbage quality.

(most)People around these parts don't subscribe to the sound improving cable theory, you will need to go to Headfi for that.

I also succumbed to temptation and I got the TMA-1s from the Glade (162€ -10% off and free shipping to Spain-). Now I have to wait for a long week until they are here.
