Certainly a lot of love for these phones in this thread.
They do look really nice compared to other products. Personally, while they still look great, I'd change them just a bit; they look a bit like headphones made by LEGO, don't they?

I'm looking forward to a review on these. What are your (the ones who purchased a pair) opinions on the sound signature? From what I've gathered from this thread, they sound great, but how would you describe them against other headphones? I'm wondering whether they have anything like pronounced bass or something like that; I'd imagine the highs to be a bit recessed. Would like to hear your opinion on it, as well as sound isolation and how well it isolates out and about.

That should make for an interesting read. I just hope Cowon finally managed to create a player whose UI and software do justice to their great hardware.

Goodness knows that just about every other Cowon player has something disastrously wrong with the UI. And most vexingly half the time the mistake is something that was previously corrected in a different model! That gets old real quick.

Hehe not a replacement, but a harmonious partner . The TMA1 will be for portable use, mostly when it isn't winter since the m50 work as ear warmth with velour pads hehe.

Circumaural cans can just be a lot to carry when on the go, i've wanted a nice set of supra aural portable cans with great bass, comfort and isolation and i don't think it gets better than these.

I'll have to wait though having told my parents about their availability at moogaudio without giving other ideas yet for xmas gifts, the odds are they will get them for me. If not, boxing day here i come.

Now now, no need to be rude.

The TMA-1 are an enjoyable, exciting, and musical alternative to the rather dry HD25. FLAC or MP3 doesn't matter in 99.999% of all cases, since rarely anybody can distinguish the difference anyways.

@dfkt - Are these hard to drive? Could a Clip+ without an amp manage to drive them to their full potential?

Edit: I've seen you have answered this before... I can't believe something this big can be so efficient.
