yeah i saw the purple one at the local best buy, I want one because it is my favorite color, also the white one is new as well.

Yeah RB seems pretty solid to me, haven't had any problems.

Rockbox works just fine on my two Clip+'s.

Do note that USB doesn't work yet - although they're getting close, by the look of it.

Seriously. I don't understand why Sandisk doesn't at least do a small run of each color in 8gb. I know that the average buyer likely picks up the 4gb model simply because it "seems" more economical in comparison to the 8gb, but there must be enough 8gb buyers out there to make a little color diversification worthwhile. I know I'd pick up a second 8gb if I liked the color.

Solid colors are okay, but a zebra pattern or some other designs would look more interesting. My favorite though would be to have an aluminum, magnesium, or titanium(real metal) casing on it.

I'll get my wife a purple one for Christmas and pass along her blue one to my daughter. The white with black trim looks REALLY cheap-o. I think it reminds me of the cheap white cars that have the black door molding/trim.
