UPDATE: So MIcrosoft Hanheld The Problem For Me By Giving Me 6200 Microsoft Points, Sweet. So I am Loving ZUNE Again. They Handheld Professionally And I Am Happy With There Service Again. Thanks Zune!!!!

You should have a backup. You cannot redownload them for free?
This is partially your fault for not backing your files up and no one should buy from them anyway because of the restrictions. . . except under some temporary circumstances maybe. |

I just upgraded from another microsoft operarting system to another and the only thing that wont work is my old music???

no i bought them with microsoft points in the music folders the songs are all have wired titles with weird symbols and they are all under 3mb a song?? I don't know what to do???

Just sign in with the account on which you bought, and then redownload the files for free. Works for all purchuased content, excepting, of course, films for rent. Bethsoftfan. |

I just got an email from Advocacy Specialist from microsoft and they are going to help fix this problem by getting the Zune Escalations Team in this and they are going to contact me within 2 business days. So it's looking a little greener on the other side but still very dark with a drop of green
|

It only took like 10 emails to microsoft people and many hours on phone support and twitting with zune support for about 4 more hrs and then email steve ballemer another 30 min to find that email to get someone to listen 3 days of fun i had to get someone that actually wanted to help

My advise: buy CDs and don't buy from big companies like this. |

Calm down, Zune never told you to upgrade to Win7 and its not Zune software fault it got 'corupt'. If you have the songs on your Zune just reverse-sync it. Also after upgrading did you update your drivers and what-not?
Try to contact Microsoft not Zune.

Sounds like the same BS i had to deal with .. Spent my points and when i tried to use my purchased content it all went tits up.
Funny how they NEVER mentioned anything about license backup until shit hits the fan. oh by the way .. upgrading to windows 7 SHOULD not be causing him so much grief with his purchased content so get off his back about upgrading and it could VERY WELL be the zune software that currupted the license file. None of us know so unless your zune staff get off the man's case .. |

Did you upgrade from XP? Because if you did, then that's your problem.
Microsoft recommends a full wipe of OS, not an upgrade, if you owned XP.

Microsoft Support gave me free Premium Headphones. I'm afraid I can't have a bad opinion of them.
They're probably annoyed at the Windows Team for not publicizing the problems with XP upgrades better, or preventing them entirely.

Open the Zune software. Login to your Zune Account. Click "Settings" then "Account" and the click "Purchase History" on the lefthand side of the screen. Then Choose the "Songs" heading and redownload what you purchased.
