You say that came with the E445?? Wonder if I can buy it for my E345 and if it will fit....

Sony players are horribly overpriced in Singapore. Balls to sony. This player costs in the region of $169 here.

same in Dubai.. it costs around $160 .. for about the same price, i can get a same capacity cowon i9, which i'm told is a better overall player

I own the E344, which has the same features as this player, with the exceptions of the button design. This E445 looks to have a better designed volume control button set. The buttons on the E344 are near flush with the case and can be difficult to blindly operate.

The FM radio circuitry seems to be extremely sensitive. Reception and clarity fall into the range of a good car FM radio.

The features and menus are impressively intuitive. You can switch to FM momentarily, which pauses file playback, then you can use the 'options' menu to return to the 'Song playing' after you're done listening to the radio.

The only downfall to this particular Walkman series that I see are a lack of voice recording. It would also be nice to see Sony's DPC (Digital pich corrected speed control) that they include on their voice recorder. As another user pointed out, FLAC support would also be a plus. Even over earbuds using high bitrates, MP3s have a tendency to sound more hollow, gurgly and/or distorted than it's lossless counterpart. An AM radio would also be a plus.

Edit - Seems like this player is perfectly suited for WMP! A perfect match then.

Just a couple of questions though...

You mentioned in your review...

You can't create playlists on the player?

So you can't even create a "On-The-Go/Now Playing" playlist?

eg. On the creative players...

I just search for a song by Artist/Album & then select "Add To Selected"...that particular song get's added too "On-The-Go/Now Playing" playlist.

No way to do this on the Sony player then?

So I have to go in Artist/Album & play a song I want, always?

That would take some time getting used too & sounds really cumbersome!
