So is rockbox ready to use i mean i downloaded the file that it told me to what do i do next?

another thing is that can anybody acutally make games for the rockbox because i saw the folder with some games and i didnt see tetris could somebody make this game with the rockbox format?

I am totally clueless of what this rockbox is? i know that it is another firmware but can i still listen to music and do things that i could normally with my sansa?
And what is a dual bootloader?(do i have a choice of which firmware i want to load)

I can only answer the question regarding the music aspect of rockbox: Yes, you'll be able to listen to your music as before, but now you'd have the additional features such as games, the ability to enqueue songs without actually playing them, as well as a ton of other features you can read about on the rockbox website.

It is called Rockblox due to trademark problems.

You can make games if you can program in C - there is documentation on writing plugins (which can be games) for Rockbox here.

At the moment you can't listen to music in Rockbox. That will change as soon as we know how to use the sound chip.

The dual bootloader means that you can choose whether to boot Rockbox or the original firmware. The original firmware is booted by holding "Left" as you turn on the Sansa

^^ This question has been answered numerous times on this forum and the rockbox one. Try using the search feature on either forums and search for "rockbox."
Also, find out how to go into recovery mode as well, since alot of people are putting in rockbox without knowing that it is not for the general public yet.

The server which hosts www.rockbox.org seems to be having some problems at the moment, and there's a good chance that people will not get a chance to go and reboot it until after Christmas.

There are step-by-step instructions here.
Note that there is a lot of development work happening fairly quickly at the moment, so these instructions will probably move to the Wiki and then to the manual.

I saw how people used their sansa with rockbox in it. It looked confusing to me ;_; . hopefully theres a nice enough person to create a sort-of manual for the how to use the rockbox...please?

p.s. if I find that the rockbox isnt suitable for me can i revert back to the original?

The manual for sansa is currently under construction and not pubicly available. You can check out manuals for other players on rockbox.org under manuals section.
Yes, you can revert.

Do not install rockbox until it is finished unless you are a developer.
