Zune Premiums Vs. Hippo Boom/VB

Hey guys,

I recently got a pair of Zune Premium headphones free via my warranty, and am satisfied with them in almost all aspects. However, the one complaint I have with them is how much noise the wire transfers when it's even moved a little bit. My brother is interested in them, and I've let him try mine and he likes them. So, he has offered to pay me $20 USD for them, and I'm contemplating taking his offer and putting that money towards either Hippo Booms or Hippo VB's. Can anyone speak as to which set of the three they like most or if the Booms or VB's do a better job not resonating sound with the wire (price not being a factor in preference)?

hey steinberger: i have the Hippo VBs - an excellent pair of IEMs IMO under 80USD. I love em. The wire noise you are referring to is called "microphonics". The VBs are not immune to this effect, but they are not horrible IMO either. Certainly during quiet musical passages where you are moving a lot, you might notice some of the effect.

However, I understand one can greatly mitigate the effect by wearing the IEMs with the wires going over and around your ears.
