Hi,
Is it possible to play music and videos that are stored on my Zune HD through the Zune software? |

If you mean to play that content from the HD into your PC (as in the content is not on your PC, only on your HD) the answer is no... But, unless they are DRM protected you can reverse sync them to the PC and play them directly.

That's exactly what I mean. I didn't really want to reverse sync all the stuff I want to listen to or watch to my PC. This is really inconvenient. Is this because the Zune HD doesn't support MTP?

No...it's because that feature hasn't been built into the software, nor into Windows.

I seem to remember being able to double click on a song on my Zen Vision: M when it was attached to my PC, and WMP would play it. No reverse syncing required.

Creative Media Source will do it... (Zen Touch...) but haven't tried WMP.

I was also able to do it with my Zen Vision:M and have the file play in Creative Media Source but I'll unable to do so with my Zune HD.
