Don't what exactly I did wrong this time, but I just connected my Sansa to my desktop PC to transfer some songs. My Sansa was off while the USB was connected then when I turn it on and boots up, it skips "Refresh Database" and windows was only able to "see" the internal memory. Disconnected my Sansa, restarted it, and this time it did the "Refresh memory" thing. Unfortunately when I reconnected it back to my computer my external sansa memory was empty. None of the songs there were listed on the Sansa itself either.
I am getting sick of this. Why is this device so bad at remembering stuff in it's external memory?? |

The filesystem on the microSD may need some TLC. Scandisk, fsck, whatever you've got.
