Default Backlight sometimes turns off
Hiya. I opened up my Clip v2, and now sometimes the backlight is really dim. I don't know why it does that, I can see it in total darkness, but very dimly.

I pull apart the plastic a little, or flick it which fixes it temporarily. Is there a more permanent fix? Thanks!

Sounds like a poor contact... Perhaps open it up and remove and replug in the video cable connector? Do this only when warranty is over, though!

Well I opened it and that caused the problem, so no RMA. Can you tell me where the video contact is?

Click a picture with the PCB on it - the white long rectangular thing is where your video cable (the brown ribbon cable with gold contacts) will be attached to.

The thing is that I didn't open up the shielding, and I don't have a screwdriver at the moment. Is that the only loose connection that it could be?
