I went with windows, because I know a lot of people that are wary of android- they are too scared of it. I just reckon people will try to stay with what they are familiar with.
Plus, it would be nice to actually see some droid tablets around these parts. All I see is iPad... Not much choice anywho.

For tablets? Have you used a Galaxy Tab? Even Google says that 2.2 shouldn't be used for Tablets.

HP used WebOS on it's new PhotoSmart printer that comes with a removable tablet. I haven't seen or played with webOS yet, but anyone I know that had a phone with it sure liked it.

Damage to iPad sales, or damage to the the maker's bottom line? The HP Touchpad did a little of both. Assorted Android tablets have mixed results as each good one has been playing with their MSRP lately to see if that helps sales more than it hurts profits. The whole tablet market may be in flux though as now that Steve has passed I've seen stores marking down (some versions of) the ipad by as much as $50.

I have since day one loved webOS but, it is too propitiatory and thus doomed to fail. WebOs was brilliant and very easy to use. Android is just as simple and open source.....this is the future.
I can remember Beta vs. VHS. MiniDisc vs Mp3/DAP's Like these examples the best doesn't always win. I comes down to the money, cost effectiveness ect. but, it is always about the money; plain and simple.

And HD-DVD vs Blu-Ray. All a pity. It's a shame more players can't play in the same sandbox. Competition is great. Monopolies tend to keep tech costs up longer.

I changed the awful BlackPad name of yore to the correct one in the poll.

Poll might need to be updated. There is a new Windows OS on the block. Since started, Android came from behind to take the lead in what appears to be both phone and tablet sales. The new Surface tablet may grow some market share if it is priced reasonable, and more than one manufacturer is allowed to make them.
