Question DAH-1500i Cable Pinout

Hi,

I've got a friend who's got a DAH-1500i, however her dog has chewed up the charging / transfer cable for it!

Would anyone be able to have a look at the cable on their Cube and tell me what the pin configuration is for the 3.5mm jack? I'll then be able to splice the cable back together for her.

Thanks in advance.

I put a VOM to my cable and got this:

Holding the mini-phone jack with the cable coming out the left side (and tip on the right) I Numbered the left contact (closest to the cable) "1" - then "2", "3" & "4" (for the tip).

Looking into the end of USB (female?) connector on the other end of the cable (opening up - white insulator down):
"1" went to the right side contact (not to the metal surround, which I assume is ground)
"2" went to the metal surround.
"3" went to the contact 2nd from the left.
"4" went to the contact 2nd from the right.
The left side contact showed no connection.

Hope this helps! You didn't exactly get a quick answer!

Looking here: http://www.makezine.com/blog/archive...de_usb_ca.html

Is it possible to replace the Cube's cable with any other commercially available cables? The iPod Shuffle appears to have nearly the same pinout aside from the very left pin.
