I have used several of the software packages that have been mentioned on these forums suck as Any Video Converter and the outputted file doesn't appear in the video list of my Zen player, I hate using the creative centrale software for my conversion because it is insanely slow(even with my pc hardware). All of my attempts have been unsuccessful, can anyone here help me?

Hm I've never had good experiences with Anyvideoconverter, with none of those freeware converters actually, until I found Format Factory, and Badak also works very well. Both of them are free aswell.
Anyway if they don't show up at all, they probably have the wrong extension (container). Avi should work, and they should show up. But for them to play, the codecs, resolution and bitrates must be supported. Not sure about your Zen but I guess it's about the same as my X-Fi2. I always convert to Xvid, resolution below the max it will support, and bitrate of around 800kbps. Also pay attention to the audio codec, mp3 should be fine. By the way, both programs I mentioned above have pre-sets for the Zen, those settings should work I guess.. |

I tried Badak to no avail, the upside is that it converts really fast, the model of my Zen is: http://uk.store.creative.com/product...=213&pid=18615
Im going to try and convert my video with Format factory next(when its finished downloading) EDIT: Sorry for the double post guys EDIT AGAIN) No luck with it, the videos convert fine(takes about 6 mins for a 20 min video compared to 30 mins in centrale), I can view them in WMP11 and the VLC Player but they dont appear in the video list on my Zen unlike the videos i have converted in the creative centrale program. Anyone know why this is?

Oh, you have the MX? That one only plays .cmv videos, and as far as I know only Centrale can convert to cmv.
