Zune HD Questions

Im intrested in the Zune HD but i have a few questions.

1. kinda a stupid question but does it support MP3?

2. how much are most apps, and are some free?

3. ive seen a "hello from Seattle" thing in the bottom left, whats up with that?

4. is there a 16gb platinum other than the one in Zune Originals?

5. im kinda stuck between the blue and the white/silver versions, anyone got any advice? you can view them both here

When you buy via zune originals does it comes with a USB cord right? im wondering because it has one in the accessories...

2. All apps are free, and MS has removed the ads from them

And yes when you buy from Zune Originals it comes with everything that it would normally come with if you bought from elsewhere, except I believe the package is different. Good luck with your Zune!

I for one think 'Hello from Seattle' is quite charming. Makes it seem more personal. You could probably scratch it off though.

Oh, and the whole 'culture code' in that article is just rubbish to me. When I see the writing on an iPod I can tell they're trying to foster positive associations and it just comes off as conniving.

But the Zune's "Hello from Seattle" somehow doesn't strike you as blatantly contrived and "me-too"-ish?

To the OP:

If #2 is important to you, take a good look at the Zune.net "Apps and games" pages to see if what's available there is enough to suit your needs. Small handfuls of new, simple apps do occasionally trickle out of Microsoft's gates, but they are not and have never been a large focus of the device.

I can vouch for this. Nail polish remover does wonders for removing unwanted labels, stickers, decals, screen-prints, and other things of that nature.

Just put a little bit on a cotton swab, and rub until it comes off.

Note- I am not responsible if it's too strong and melts your Zune.
