Hi,
I have noticed this since owning my J3 that every time a track finishes or fades out I hear a sort of faint sound like a sort of white noise/crackling sound. I don't have that problem with other DAPs but my Cowon J3. The earphones I am using are sennheiser CX300II. Art |

I've noticed a slight crackling sound when I'd have my equalizer set to Metal on some albums but would go away when I switched it to rock. I think it all depends on the headphones you use.

I also think another reason for the crackling/white noise sounds is because I have my J3's jeteffect set on a high setting with BBE+ set at 10 Mach3Bass set at 10 and 3D surround set at 10. I also have reverb set at 1
I'll try and mess about with jeteffect settings to see if that is the cause. Art |

I think it may be something to do with the reverb setting on jeteffect. I've noticed similar kinds of things on mine, and it seems to be only when I have reverb switched on. It usually tends to happen for me when I restart a song whilst it's playing.
