Very attached to my clips, both of them but not physically as both clips' clips and broken. Any good source for replacements besides Sansa? THanks.

As far as I'm aware, SanDisk's Internet store is the only source.

If your clip broke off, you're fucked.
Mine broke off despite my keeping it safe and sound in a bag. The plastic hinge mounts are very tiny and very fragile. Piss poor design. But I ended up trimming the plastic off, and put some velcro on the back, so I can stick it places now. I actually like my Clip+ better without the clip. Although I barely use my Clip+ anyways other than for comparison purposes. -Ed |

I think the OP was talking about the old Clip, with the removable clip, not the Clip+.
Of course $9.99 for the clip alone is not really worth it at all, compared to the price of a whole new player.

Actually, for that price you get 3.
Of course, shipping within the U.S. adds another $6 ... And you can't just buy 1.In my mind, SanDisk should just keep a box of these suckers around and send them out as a courtesy and to engender good will. (In fact, that's what was being done originally.) |

This is the best idea for clip replacements. This thing is amazing and the glue is so strong. The adhesive is made by 3M.
Anyway, sand off or Dremel the back, then get this thing. http://www.theclip.com/store/The-Ori...p-p-16218.html I am new. And just joined to post this, that is how much I believe that this is an important solution. I am ordering my Clip+ today from Compusa for $29. Anyway, Take care MG |

Merlin, thanks for the link...very useful.
However I believe that this particular clip is too long to fit the clip and its height is also protruding quite a lot. As you might have seen in the other thread I am also looking for replacement clip. I have contacted the company with the Clip+ measurements asking them for their recommendations of a suitable clip. You are welcome. The clip is made of Polycarb (lexan) so you can cut it down using a dremmel or band saw.
The downside of The Clip is that it does not pivot, but the upside is huge. The company makes a bracket that you can put on almost anything to clip your player to. They might have something else that could work too. Still waiting for my player to arrive I ordered the blue model. The black model is easy to lose, and looked glossy like a grease magnet.OFF TOPIC: Amazing how much grease humans create. One good thing about the iPhone, Pod, Pad , etc. is that we learned more about how slimey we are. LOL. As a consequence, I now wear socks everywhere in my house, and the floors are staying much cleaner! One micron of grease on each foot, X the number of people, X 100 days in a row creates lots of gunk in your carpets and on hard floors. Gag!
