New apps released - Animalgrams and MSN Money, plus Twitter update

Well I looked it the marketplace and it appears the long awaited msn money app was released today along with an app called animalgrams. Personally, after all of this time I was expecting a little more than that, but hey its better than nothing.

I'm done deleting posts. I'll be handing out free 72-hour bans with the next wave. And to make it clear, yes, you can express your disappointment with these apps. That's on topic. Talking about firmware updates, hardware quality issues, and how it relates to Lindsey Lohan's jailtime have absolutely nothing to do with these apps.

The Money app is really well done; quite snappy and, despite the fact that it's a money app, is fun the use.Kudos on two well-done apps, Dave!

Anyone else find extreme irony in the fact that animalgrams doesn't recognize the word "apps" :P

MSN money is pretty, but of no use to my 16 year old self. However animalgrams is very well done.

Animalgrams is something nice for those times without a wifi connection. I wonder if they have any updates planned for it.

Let's please keep discussion related to the two apps, youur experience with them, bugs, etc. We don't need every thread disolving into a "ZOMG ZUNE IS TEH DEAD!!!111" thread.

WOW! Twitter has gotten a MAJOR performance upgrade! No more stuttering between touches!

Hopefully this is also going to come to Facebook!

It seems that Facebook got an update, too.

It's a lot smoother.

EDIT: The version still says 1.1, however, I was using 1.1 before? Maybe the update was not an update, or the version numbers are wrong?

Ironically, after the update, I can't even sign in to Twitter...

The Animalgram game is decent but the average age of the Zune user is around 18-20 and could careless about stock prices.
Age aside it's not going to be much use to most users but thanks for the effort.

I had to restart my device twice to do so. Try using your e-mail address as your username.

I just have one question; when Dave said he was exited for the next release or something like that, was this what he was talking about? Because these apps are nice and all but they seem normal for the apps that have been released lately.

Well, you can definitely see that the Money App had a lot put into it... but maybe this isn't all?

There's always going to be a level of excitement when something you've had a hand in gets accomplished, even if others on the outside don't appreciate it. A lot of work goes into these apps, and the Zune team has been downsized a lot over the past few years. To them, this is an accomplishment.
