Hi!
I have 2 questions ![]() 1. Does the J3 integrate files on the microSD card? Most importantly, does it integrate music and video files into the existing library. 2. I'm aware that the J3 comes with a 20-pin to USB cable to connect it to a PC. But, is there any slot on the J3 that allows the use of mini-usb cables? I'm not particularly fond of this 20-pin cable idea xD. Thanks in advance, -justin |

1. Yes. Yes.
2. No. By the way, that was three questions. |

#1 is a double-edged sword for me, as I play via folder-browsing...any way to play randomly entire albums[instead of songs]?

Haha oops, excuse my inability to count to three then :P
Dang, 2. kinda sucks In any case, it's not a deal-breaker or anything, just that it's a non-standard cable IMO I wonder why they didn't just use mini-usb...=SThanks! |

It is said, and it's probably true, that the 20 pin mini jack the J3 uses is thinner than the mini-usb jack. If they went with the mini-usb jack, the J3 couldn't have been as thin as it is now.

Oooh =O I seeee. But it's cool anyways, the first impression I had when I first read that it came with a '20-pin cable' was this HUGE ancient cable that resembled that of monitor connector cables with 20 HUGE pins, and I was just thinking lolwut. The one it actually uses looked fine =D xD.
I can't wait to get my J3 But I need to find somewhere to buy it in Australia T^T.Does anyone know any distributors of Cowon for Australian businesses ^^ Thanks, -justin |

The 20-pin lead is widely used in Korea, mini-usb would be better, ala D2.

Yeah, the 20 pin connector isn't about size, its supposed to be a standard in korea, so they used that. I'm just impressed that its on more than one DAP(S9 and J3, even though they're nearly the same thing).
Lets just hope they continue to use if on all their future DAP's, but knowing cowon they'll shortly switch to something different.

A different lead would sell better in the big markets, Korean is not the default language.

Yeah, I too agree that a mini-USB port would be best. But we all know Cowon is to smart for their own good and will be changing it up every few years. Its sad that there isn't a perfect DAP on the market...

My #1 requirement will always be balance control/PAN.

My #1 requirement is a PMP w/ext.memory. I'm unsure why the S9 did not.

I still remember buying my first 512mb SD card from CompUSA for $200. Just bought a 16gb microSD card from Amazon for $29.01.

i think the 20-pin connector is to enable av-output. at least on the s9 its like this.
