Hi, abi Forum.
I've got a Problem with my Clip v2 (great Player, btw). I'm trying to connect it to a Mac for the first time. It's in MSC Mode of course (Macs normally can't handle MTP because it's developed by Microsoft, right?). I can connect it, i can access the Root Folder (AUDIBLE, AUDIOBOOKS, MUSIC etc.) but when i open the MUSIC Folder it is empty, i can't see a single file. Are they kinda hidden or something? Is there any way to get these Files without installing that MTP Addon Stuff? Thanks a lot.

upvalue:
did you add songs to the player on a pc in MTP (or Auto Detect) mode? If so, you won't see them in MSC mode. Steve |

You can access them from the Clip, but not from a computer unless you are connected in MTP mode.
To fix matters you could: connect to a computer in MTP mode; transfer the files to the computer; erase the files on your Clip; switch the Clip's USB mode to MSC, and keep it there in the future; and transfer the files back to your Clip. It's the, the-computer-can-only-see-what's-on-the-Clip-when-connected-to-the-Clip-via-the-USB-mode-the-files-were-transferred-under blues ... |

Oh, I see, since my Rockbox'ed Clip+ was driving me crazy when the music files weren't showing.
Turns out that they were hidden. |
