Can someone help find for me some in-ear headphones (price max. 70€)? With my old mp3 player i use Creative EP-630 and 830, but when i connect these headphones into my new Cowon S9 i hear pretty strong rustle (or noise). I look after new earphones, but all looks almost equally (almost same technical specifications and look). Have you some tips for me? Some earphones with minimum rustle which you have tested with Cowon S9? Thank you for your advice.

What exactly do you mean by 'rustle'? Do you hear a background hiss in the phones when no music is playing? Does the 3.5mm plug crackle when you move it?

Your English is fine.
![]() You need a higher impedance phone to get rid of the hiss, with possibly lower sensitivity. Something over ~32 Ohm and under ~110dB/mW should be fine. You could also try an impedance adapter with your current phone, or a good in-line volume control (set to 3/4 or 1/2 volume) - that should help as well.

Well, you could take a look at my in-earphone thread, at the "hiss" column: http://anythingbutipod.com/forum/showthread.php?t=15243

How many earphones have impedance more than 16 Ohm? I look at Sennheiser, Beyerdynamic, Koss, all earphones have impedance 16 Ohm. Only Creative Aurvana In-Ear have 42 Ohm and 115 dB/mW (1 kHz). What do you think, if i buy this earphones, dissappears hiss from my beloved Cowon?

Yes, but they are pretty bad phones for the price. Did you look at the thread I linked above?

Yes, i looked at the table, but earphones which i would like (panasonic RP-HJE900 or Phonak Audéo PFE - earphones with high sound quality and none hiss) are on higher price level, this Creative earphones cost 55€ (70$). My current earphones Creative EP630 costed 30€ (little bit weaker mids) but i am satisfied (except hiss). Do you think that this Creative Aurvana is "piece of shit"?

hey majoSK: Welcome to ABi... :-)
I own the Aurvanas and also the EP630. They are not "pieces of shit". They sound decent. The point is that there are other [many other] IEMs which sound as good or much better, for not so much more in price, and in some cases, can be had for less than what you paid for either of those. For example, the Hippo VBs are a strong favorite here and for me personally. The VBs are much better sounding to me than either the EP630 or the Aurvanas - no contest IMO. Since your main concern at the moment is hiss, you can see that dfkt felt the VBs do hiss a little bit. I have not heard any hiss on my players - I don't have a Cowon S9 [nice player btw!] so I cannot tell you about that... cheers! -lestatar
