Fiio S3 are acting very weird

My Fiios are acting very weird... I hook my mp3 player up to them and turn them on, they play the music for a split second then go silent. They stay on... however, they just stop playing music.

If I hold down the power (play/pause) button then it will continue to play the music, but as soon as I let go, it will again go silent.

Any ideas?

with nearly no knowledge (relative to some other members) of electrical and audio wiring, your problem may be caused by a loose wire. Maybe when you hold down the button, it just so happenes to push the loose audio wire back into place. like i said, this is an newbie speaking, so i could be completely wrong. just my 2 cents
