Default Replay Gain: track vs. album

How do the settings on MediaMonkey and the player interact? If you have MediaMonkey set to album leveling but the clip+ to track leveling, what happens? (FWIW, I've got my clip set to "track if shuffling," which IIRC is the default.)

I set my MM Gold to analyze both track and album. But I did it with the purpose of using shuffle all on my Clip+.

Not sure what "album leveling" and "track leveling" on Media Monkey mean, but if you calculate album gain with any proper Replaygain-capable software, it calculates track gain as well in any case (since that information is inherently necessary for album gain).

If you apply Replaygain to whole albums, always calculate album gain - you can still use track gain on your Clip+ if you like to, since that information is always present.

But if you only calculate track gain, you don't have the proper information for whole albums, for e.g. the times you don't want to play in shuffle mode.
