Any one bought a J3 from Amazon UK

This is the second one I've had from them, the first I sent back because
of the battery life, fully charged and after 9 hrs use it was down to 50%.
Now I've got the second one and I'm still not impressed with the battery life, although this one seems to be a little better. I've used it for about 8hrs and its down to 75% at the moment, so I'll see how it goes.
Does it need a few charges to get the full battery life?
I'm using it for audiobooks at 64/44 mono

As anyone else had a J3 from Amazon UK and is yours alright, so am I just
unlucky.

I have a few devices that have lithium batteries and came with instructions for care of the battery.

"1. The new lithium battery can not reach the optimum performance until two or three cycles of full charge and discharge.

2. 8-10 hours are required for new lithium battery in the first three times of charge. Only 4 hours are needed to fully charge the battery in the fourth time. In this way the new battery can reach optimum performance. "

This was for a player with a larger battery than the J3. If normal charge time is 3 hours, then cycle it the first few times and give it a longer charge, say 6 hours. I wouldn't judge any player on battery life until it had been cycled a few times anyway, even if you didn't long-charge the first time or two.

I'll try it your way and give it a longer charge, I don't want to send it back as it s a great player and I'm very happy with it.

Just bought my 32Gb from Amazon Uk.
My first impression on the battery life was disappointing.
It is maybe due to the ready-to-play charge because from the second charge the battery seems to last longer.

Maybe it's an illusion...
I'm trying to stress the battery by watching movies; the battery level should drop quickly as before.
Will report again if i find the same glitch
