Just deployed to Zune, will give a longer post on any bugs and review it later. Looks good!

Looks amazing! I'm about to try it right now but I just wanted to say thanks for making a tetris type game. Adding more features to the current release will always be a plus. Maybe stuff that you can do in online tetris games like tetrisfriends.com? Anyways, whatever you think is best!

A few problems I noticed so far were that sometimes I couldn't flip the block - usually when it was near the top. Does the block need all the room around it to be clear in order to flip? Maybe it's a normal mechanic

The other thing I noticed was that speeding the block up to hit the bottom continues to speed up the following block which makes it a bit tougher. I think it'd be better if the block speed up button automatically shut of when the block hits the bottom. Then you have to repress the same button for the next block to speed down as well. That way you don't end up with premature "speeding down" lol

And I'd kinda like having a flip button instead of touching the main area because I just feel like i'm covering the block field and my vision of the field every time I flip but that's just me.

Yeah I know about the flipping problem, and will fix it. Regarding the speedup thing though, are you sure about that? Ive never seen that, the only thing I can think that would cause that is if you happened to go up a level at the same time, in which case it will be faster

I think what he means is that once of have your piece ready to drop and you hold down the down button, it will drop but it will also make the next piece keep dropping as well until you release the down button. The down button should only function on the current piece and not extend onto the next piece that appears.

Honestly, I have to give this one a 5/5. Especially from an independent developer.

Dave, you need to get Matt's number right away and get this game on the Marketplace.

Yes exactly! Thanks, you said it way better than I could. And rougemat should definitely get a professional job for what he does

Looks good, though the graphics could use a little fixing- they can be very pixelated. You should have called it something like "patchwork" or "quilt", quiltris doesn't sound right to me.

Where do you mean? The only place I can see that it looks pixelated is the actual blocks, and its made to be like that. Quilt + tetris = Quiltris. Somehow "Quiltris" sounds much better than "Quilt Tetris" to me.

Someone made a video on youtube here:

very nice game....the only thing i really dont like is having to tap the screen to rotate it.....and for the life of me i can't figure out how to make a block go down when tilt is on.

if there was a dedicated "rotate" button, i would be happy.
also maybe add a "ghost" where the block is going to fall. i have seen a couple different versions of tetris that has this and i find it useful.
other than that, the game is a pleasure to play....really great IMO.
