New Q2 Owner..Questions

Hey guys, picked up a slightly used 16gb Q2 of eBay recently. Really likeing the player, with my sennheiser MX760 heaphones the sound really is amazing!

Anyway I just had a few of questions.

Firstly is it possible to turn off DNSe?

Secondly can it definitely not read FLAC tags?

Is there any way to actually turn the player off completely?

Seems likes its in a permanent Quick start mode? Does this drain battery?

Battery doesn't seem that great, i've been playing around with it a lot maybe for 2hrs and had maybe 2hrs of actual listening. With brightness on 3. I have only been playing 320k mp3 at full volume with DNSe on. It is now on the last bar or power. Is this normal?

Any help appreciated. Im running the latest Firmware.

-Only the reset button can turn it fully off. Standby drains a little battery

-Battery life depends on many many things. If you use the display a lot and use DNSe effects with mp3 320kbps then the battery life will drastically fall.

nice one thanks for the info. Shame the High bitrate and DNSe combo is such a battery drain, sounds so damn good!

The Flac files I was using were tagged with MP3tag maybe I tagged them wrong, I don't think so though. Is there some setting i might be missing in mp3tag?

There is no specific setting for FLAC tags in mp3tag...
So I advise you to transfer the FLAC files again in MSC/UMS mode (settings>system>PC connection>MSC), and then to update manually the library (settings>system>update library)

Make sure that your files are not tagged with additional id3 tags.

If you don't have this feature then you're probably in KR region code. In KR you do not have the choice, it is necessarily MSC

I reckon the battery life is meant to be low. I had a q1 and the battery life was much better, I suspect it has something to do with the thinness of the player leading to a smaller battery pack.
