Would magnets ruin my X?

I recently got a leather case for my X, and it wasn't until I opened the package that I found out that the flap is kept closed with VELCRO...

and I HATE VELCRO!

So I want to pimp out my case and change it to a magnet flap thing. So I want to ask; would magnets ruin my X?

Also, do you like Velcro?

I do not like velcro in such cases either.

Magnets will not harm the X.
