New Firmware 2.22 for P3!!!!!

@lebellium: thanh you lebellium, even though I cannot understand really well, but there seems to be no difference and I will not be able to obtain 6.D. So it's fine, the current firmware works for me. I bought the P3 because it is a Samsung mp3 player and it looks good. I don't care about touch much.

In fact, 6.C or 6.D only refers to different LCD screens. But it does not affect the touch performance. That is why, if you have a P3 with fw 2.20/2.22 touch 6.D and you reinstall the fw 2.20/2.22, touch version becomes 6.C again.

The change log is clear. The lack of Touch volume control is not a bug. Samsung delete this feature deliberately so they won't add it again...

That note from samsung saying they did delete that function on purpose.

I thought the on-screen volume control was a wonderful feature. It bothers me that Samsung somehow felt it needed removing. Perhaps it was a leftover from P2 code and never intended to be on the P3, or maybe the code took up space they needed for some other more useful improvement. I've done that myself (removed a software feature to make room for a more useful one) when code size was limited and programming was something I could do.

Space ? it works for video ! (And video is more resource hungry than mp3 playing.)

Why when I download the new firmware 2.22 the sketch pad and the metronome disappear? And my games are gone also.

I would cut off my right arm for Gapless... and some other way to set custom EQ, because it takes me 15 minutes to set it properly. Well... maybe someday.

All major companies now have gapless on their mp3 players in some form or another. Cowon, Sony, Apple, Sansa, is to name a few. Samsung is the only one that is not playing ball with its customers. This alone is what prevented me from getting the P3, R1, or M1.

Samsung Reply: This feature has been removed due to standardization of Samsung DAP and Mobile phone User Interface.

I can't believe it... In fact I'm sure Human beings do not take decisions at Samsung. That's the job of some brainless IBM robots...

Samsung had it on the Z5. Gapless is nice but never percieved it as a make or break feature.
