Default S9 Calendar 1.0 Beta Released

I have developed the following calender / planner. It is still a beta version but all of the functions now work. One thing to note, the calender only shows the top 8 events/meetings per day. I ran out of screen and couldn't show more than that without building some sort of scrolling function.

Please let me know if you have any ideas on how to make it better.

Thanks!

You have to use a custom UCI like Claw's wallpaper UCI (http://www.anythingbutipod.com/forum...ad.php?t=41390), FDX/DNW's Aero Ultimate G2 (http://www.anythingbutipod.com/forum...ad.php?t=49637) or Mr. Bonheur's d.touch (http://www.anythingbutipod.com/forum...ad.php?t=51182). I'm not sure if there's any other UCI with the possibility to create custom icons.

Calender v1.02 Beta

Fixed:
  1. Some situations the Add button would flip to Edit Mode
  2. Entering a time such as 1:25 pm in the notes would cause data errors
  3. After adding a new event you were dropped back to the calender now you will drop back to the day you are editing.
  4. Clicking "Cancel" from the edit screen dropped you to the time selection page. Now you will go back to events for the day.
  5. Improved word wrapping in the day summary panel on the calender
Code:
  1. More efficient use of variables.

Okay this is a big one...

Calendar design by Caz..

I have a one-way sync working with Microsoft Outlook.
  1. Download new version of iCE.
  2. Make sure you have at least opened and browsed the new iCE calendar.
  3. Connect your s9 to your computer
  4. create a directory called "sync" on your desktop and download the out_sync.swf file there.
  5. Open outlook and export your calendar as a tab delimited text file and save it as "test.txt" in the director "sync" on your desktop.
  6. run the out_sync.swf file.
  7. search your computer's hard disk for the "calendar_data.sol" file.
  8. copy the "calendar_data.sol" file to your system/flash ui/sol directory on your s9
  9. disconnect your s9 and bring up the calendar... there is your outlook calendar!
Note: The conversion program will only pickup the following from your outlook calendar.
  1. Meeting date
  2. Meeting start time
  3. meeting subject
THIS IS A ONE WAY SYNC --- meaning all of the data that used to be in the calendar will be erased and replace with outlook data.

I have also included the source code for the sync and pretty much showed the steps on how data is saved and parsed in as2.0... My hope is that someone will take what I have thrown together and make it a beautiful stand alone app that can eventually sync both ways.

I even tried to sync my S9. So I generated the calendar_data.sol and copied it. But there are no appointments in my calendar.
I'm not sure if I did something wrong because I did not get any error message.

Would be very nice to get this to work. This would be a very useful feature for the s9.

Default J3 too

Just fyi this works well on the J3. It looks great and it actually works. I can't seem to delete an event if it's the only one on a day though. I have not tried the syncing thing.

Default Calender

Thanks Analog Sanity, the calendar is great!!
But I'm used to using my J3 upside down, and I can't flip the calendar. Could you post the 1.5 .fla file? Or maybe flip it over and post it up side down?
Thanks a lot! It has helped me a lot!

Hey Analog Sanity. Your calendars are really great!!! I'm using ver1.0 every day on my J3. I would love to use 2.01, but it gets jerky and sometimes it gets stuck. Ver 1.5 has a few bugs... Also, I've been trying to tilt it, decompiling it with sothink, to add the tilter function of the accelerometer, but I don't really know how to work with flash and I haven't been able to do anything...
It would be great if you could check on the jerky issue (it happens on the keyboard and on the calendar, when I press a button. It seems the button press animation is too heavy, as would be the white letter box; I don't really know.), and add the tilt function.
I really need a good calendar to put my head in order.
I hope you can give it a try.
Thanks a lot!
