Firmware 1.19 for R0

A new firmware 1.19 has been released!

I tested it quickly:
-Flac support improved
-Crash at the end of a folder/album fixed
-Automatic and manual library update works well

Not improved:
-FLAC and OGG track numbers not recognized
-FLAC/WMA/OGG/AAC album arts do not display
-Some FLAC files still not supported


Regarding tags, I guess they will never fully fix them so I can only advise you to use MP3 VBR V0 files encoded with lame 3.98.4: Very good sound quality and tags/albums arts supported

For the rest it's quite a good news. Normaly you won't have to send your R0 to the after sales service again

I cannot reproduce the stereo reverse bug while microSD playback.
If someone could confirm that has been fixed please

ok that would be good except for my player keeps on "updating library" on boot (fw 1.17). Is there any way to enter a service menu or to deep format the player without bring it to the after sale service? the reset switch do not help.

Oh, it's a good news. But the problem k3pp0 I do not like. It is a coincidence, or firmware problem?

k3pp0 suffers from the famous bug of the fw 1.13/1.14 and 1.17: library cannot update.

That seems to be fixed on the new fw 1.19 since I had no problem to update the library.

But for k3pp0 it is too late. You are obliged to send back your R0 to the after-sales service. The NAND has to be erased and only the after-sales service has the special cable and the recovery tool to do that

As it is linux based, seems a good thing to add a hard reset key combination, in many players it is implemented and as we are experiencing, it is VERY useful XD

I´m already using new firmware 1.19. I think that another issue Samsung could improve in future firmwares is the fact that the album title in many cases doesn't appear complete on the play screen. And anyway, Is there anyone here who listens to metal music? If so, Could he/she tell me what are his /her Dnse settings for metal music? I'm trying to find the right balance between treble/bass sound, and it's not been easy at all for me. Thanks!!!

I have UE Triple.fi 10 IEM with a "V" signature so the flat DNSe is enough for me but before I used a MyDNSe with a "V" EQ

Hi everybody! Wellcome to this new firmware to add to our collection! I have just updated and, obviously, just tested the wonderful reverse stereo bug, and it was exactly where I expected to found it... I'll never stop hoping.

This is bad! If Samsung is advertising a feature, like OGG support, they should really support it, or fix it in a firmware update.

I checked. Tags are supported with any format. Only album arts do not display. I guess you can survive without album arts

The tracknumber tags don't work for me properly. The tracks are still isn't sorted right.

Use the file browser: tracks are in the right order if you name your files "[tracknumber] - xx xx.flac" and tags (song, artist, album) are supported. Isn't it perfect?

I already reported these bugs (tracknumbers and album arts) so I suppose they don't want to fix them lol

I'm using the file browser all the time allready, but sometimes I miss the the feature to play all tracks of one artist.

Does the player still shut down after the last track of an album/folder has been played with display off and Play Mode set to Normal?
