well depends, is that a wm-port plug, if so then it should work but then I would not buy that and instead go for a small dock with line out, if you can find one still.

Question.....I know you love Sony's custom EQ and Clear Bass. Now, if this is a true line-out, won't those features be bypassed?

My Sony BCR-NWU5 dock has a line-out connection. The custom EQ and Clear Bass features output just fine through the line-out. Are you thinking of a home receiver's "direct" feature (or whatever each manufacturer calls it) that bypasses tone settings and ouputs an unaltered signal? I've also seen some optical outputs only output the original signal but not EQ'd signals.

hi i order this line out too ,but when i try on my sony x and my amp
whenever the clear bass is set to full ,when i play certain songs with bass
when the bass kicks in the vocal will become soft and muffled, once the bass goes off the vocal will become clear again
so this make the vocal loud and soft
does anyone encounter this ?
or is the line out i order is spoil ?

I think myself and one other member ordered it, and I didn't get mine yet - guess you'll have to wait a bit for the answer.

And Marv, I'm not sure if it bypasses all the sound enhanced enhancements yet,.......I didn't get the darn thing yet!!!!!

the sound comin out from the line out is great
dun wanna get spoil by the clear bass problems

OK, I have both the LOD and the mini dock, and I experimented.
I'm using a S639 with a PA2V2 and a pair of HD650 headphones.
I played some music, and turned the clearbass up, YES it is definitely suppressing the mids, (I never put the Clearbass above +1, I'm not exactly a basshead) and I noticed no increase in the lower registers, but I think that clear bass suppresses some of the mids in order to keep them from being muddied by the increased bass, BUT I know that the PA2V2 doesn't have the juice to give the HD650's the Bass I know they have, so I plugged in a friendlier pair of cans, my 32ohm MDR-CD2000's and everything works fine!, What amp are you using? does it have enough juice to power the cans you're using?

Hmmm, that is a beast of an amp, and top of the line IEM's I'll consult with someone who owns an ALO line out and see if it is the line outs, or if it is just the way walkman's are.
