Looking for upgraded NC headphones

I am looking to upgrade from my S706F to the X series. I actually like the built in noise-canceling headphones since I prefer to pocket only one device. It seems they moved away from the hybrid jack, so I want to know if there are any other earbuds that will work with the internal circuit. The new A-series seems to come with better phones but I don't want to gray market or wait till who knows when for the X2000 series. Bottom line, do I have upgrade options, or should I look to trade with someone who dumps even the nicer buds that come with the new A's, or are the default adequate? I appreciate good SQ, but I repeat I see value in the NC capabilities and don't want to give that up. And NC is not the same as noise isolation for me since I do various cycling/jogging/studying and like the option to turn on and off. Earbuds with no additional hardware/batteries are the only thing I'm interested in right now.
