I'm crossing my fingers, but so far my zune has woke up immediately from sleeping every time i've tried since upgrading to 4.5. Usually, at least once a day, it would be unresponsive for a couple seconds after sleeping... well so far so good! It definitely seems smoother and i'm really enjoying smartdj, even without a zune pass =)

Same here!

And, has anybody noticed how you can't save pictures from the Facebook app and m.facebook.com? Or am I wrong here?

If you take your pictures back off the Zune HD, can you tell me what pixel dimensions they are resized to now (vs. what they were before loading them onto the device)?

Sure, here are a few tests:

1330x1698 original
319x480 resized
------------------
1920x1200 original
720x450 resized
------------------
3300x5100 original
310x480 resized
------------------

Lol there are still un-perverted reasons why one might want to do this

My theory is that you cannot save pictures that have hyperlinks.

No, this is a firmware update and not the addition of more apps.

Anyway, nice to see the Zune team get so much out and support the Zune HD.

Yeah. They really did a lot of nice, subtle changes. Nothing huge that was unannounced, unfortunately, but hopefully there will be some new good apps in the future! Maybe on the day the 64GB model comes out? We can only hope...

No! This renders all Internet -related updates useless for the next two months. One of the best things about spring break is that the WiFi networks I have to deal with aren't WPA2 and thus I can actually use my Zune HD to the fullest.

I'm also surprised that they didn't include Custom EQ. I don't really use equalizer settings, but that seemed to be the most common complaint.

I don't understand what the fuss is about no WPA2 support...On their own Zune.net Zune HD tech spec sheet, it lists Open, WEP, WAP, and WAP2 authentication modes...

http://www.zune.net/en-us/products/z.../techspecs.htm

See for yourself.
