In between making the graphics for Incandescent, I wanted to see if I could make a function that searched for and returned locations for all .lua files at the location given to it, and the subfolders of the location. The attached is the result of that.
Keep in mind that it only works in the simulator because it uses DOS commands. If someone finds a way of doing it on the device, I'll update this to work on it as well. What this is useful for is building libraries of level files from folders on the users computer so they can be used on the device without the user having to type on a touch keyboard to locate the files themselves. At the moment it doesn't deal well with symbols in the folder names (spaces are fine), but it does work with folders that have numbers in their names. If anyone has a solution for the symbol problem, let me know. Special thanks to ThievingSix for his LUAC, because it was very helpful towards creating this. |
