I don't use the FM screen, so I have no opinion, but what do people think about these keymap changes:

But someone who can compile daily updated source code using tutorial on RB site and don't know how create or even how look code structure of patch file, should notice that patches are not updated and stop working in most cases. Thats all. I'm sorry again I was rude in last post. I don't know how update patch file, thats all. Last edited by kepinskidar; 03-26-2012 at 08:23 AM. |

It's all good by me
Frustration can sometimes make us act in ways we normally wouldn't. Done deal in my book.On the plus side when I was looking at the Rockbox irc record from yesterday saratoga has mentioned to the author of FS#11473 he's seen interest in their patch. The author said that they hadn't gone forward due to an apparent lack of interest. We talk about Rockbox a lot around here but some this probably isn't the best place to let a developer know your concerns or interests. I'm not sure if you want to mention your interest in #rockbox over at irc.freenode.net or the Rockbox forum but letting them know that you would like to see the patch brought forward at one of those locations might help. I like the patch saratoga linked to. I don't use the radio much either so when I do I'm pressing keys looking for WPS type behavior. I can't think of the number of times I've been frustrated by hitting keys and getting something entirely different than what I expected. When I visualize using the radio from the description given I think this keymap would help me avoid some of the mispresses I have now.

Hey guys, after applying the new patch i realized the battery life for my clip+ decreased dramatically. From around 15 hours to 2 hours. Is there something wrong with the way i applied the patch? I deleted the original rockbox file and simply transferred over the one in the patch. Please guide me if there is something remotely wrong with the way ive done it. Thank you.

Melkenshawn, the battery issue should be fixed now.

@melkenshawn: You simply unzip the entire archive, that dfkt provides, thus overwriting the existing .rockbox folder and subfolders (also see the manual for "updating rockbox").
You (and I) don't apply the patch itself, that has been done in the source. We just install the resulting build onto our device. P.S.: Thanks dfkt! |

Cheers, guys.
![]() Melkenshawn, the battery issue wasn't a fault at your end. It was in the Rockbox source, affecting everybody with a Clip. From the 3.11.2 release notes: Quote:

Has anyone been noticing SD card stability issues? Someone reported a problem on the Clip+, and another on the Fuzev2. I can't reproduce any of them with my SD cards however.

Here is a test build with g#270 applied: http://gerrit.rockbox.org/r/#/c/270/
http://duke.edu/~mgg6/rockbox/rockbox.7z This makes the playlist code check the root directory of the sd card rather then the main memory if a playlist is on the SD card. Should fix a lot of the weirdness people had with making playlists on windows that pointed to files on the SD card. Curious if it breaks anything else.

The current build is updated several times a day on average. Then every 4 months or so there is a new stable build.

Is it normal that the volume doesn't change every 3rd step, when raising/lowering the volume?
It has been bugging me for a while now and noone has mentioned it, as far as I know. |
