That's awesome that RBUtility now supports the Clip+. I rockboxed my Clip+ last night and I'm super-pleased. However, I did it manually because I still see this in the online manual as of this morning (http://download.rockbox.org/daily/ma...l#x4-90002.2.1):
Note: Rockbox Utility does not currently support the Clip+ and you will therefore need to follow the manual install instructions below.
Maybe I'm missing something.

Also, sorry if this has already been noted, but with r26677-100607, doing a Long Submenu press isn't giving me the quick menu like with my Sansa e260. I get the current playlist instead.

Once USB is supported, I can finally skip the pain of the dreaded media refresh screen, unless there's a way to turn that off in the OF.

Anyway, keep on rockin', Rockbox devs! Rockbox + Clip+ is a killer package.

I am trying to go into the Rockbox site but all I get is a Virgin Media page telling me that the site does not exist. Is anyone else who is with Virgin Media getting the same problems? as today I cannot open the page without getting redirected to the dreaded Virgin Media page

I hope Virgin Media haven't blocked Rockbox because of this file sharing law in the UK

Does anyone know if there is a reason why we don't have the hotkey feature on the Clip+ yet?

My guess would be lack of a button to use it with, but you'd have to check the SVN logs to be sure.

Dfkt,

Where can you or do you apply those volume settings that you apply with each update?

Or does that stay with each update?

thanks

The only reason I thought it was something about file sharing is that there has been a new law passed in the UK about file sharing and the fact that the page redirected me to the Virgin Media site instead of the "temporary offline" page which it usually does.

Anyway its good to know that Rockbox for the Clip+ is nearly finished as stated by funman on the Rockbox forum.

Keep up the good work

I went back and looked but did not find that specific post. But from what I understand once you apply this change or patch it sticks. I used yours a while back but when I did Rockbox 3.6 yesterday, I just wondered what would happen to those settings.

I really liked them, was just making sure i retained them is all.

thanks again.

Changes to code only effect builds that have the changed code. If you install 3.6 you will no longer have the patched build and the changes in it.

It sounds like your ISP sucks and is feeding you ads. Either way I don't think this is the right place to talk about it.

you'll need to setup your own development environment and compile it yourself. there's a guide on how to do this on the rockbox wiki pages.

the themes site has supposedly converted the themes into the new format. try downloading it again.

i just checked and dfkt's theme hasn't been updated so i've done it myself.

just browse to .rockbox/wps and replace the contents of the .wps file with this....

Code:
# Main
%we

# Track info
%V(0,8,-,-,1)
%s%?in<%in - |>%?it<%it|%fn>
%s%?ia<%ia|%d(1)>
%s%?id<%id %?iy<%(%iy%)|>|>

# Progress bar
%V(0,32,-,7,0)
%pb

# File info
%V(0,40,-,-,0)
%al%?mp<-:--|%pc|%pc|%pc|%pc>%ac%?mp<-:--|%pt|%pt|%pt|%pt>%ar%?mp<-:--|%pr|%pr|%pr|%pr>
%al%?fb<%?fv<%fbk VBR|%fbk CBR>|> %fc%ar%fkkHz

# Peak meter
%V(0,56,-,-,0)
%pm

I just installed r26737 and its good except that there is one problem. The problem is that the volume doesn't seem to get louder after -1. The volume seems to be same level when adjusting from -1 to 6. In other words level -1 seems to have the same loudness as level 6.

Another thing I have noticed with r26737 is that the sound isn't as loud at -15 as dfkt's 0x1b build which sounded alot louder at volume setting -15

EDIT: I've reverted back to using dfkt's r26535M with the 0x1b volume because it has better volume than the current builds.

Anyway keep up the good work.

First of all, thank you dfkt for starting this thread. After reading your post I immediately Rockboxed my Clip+ and I'm quite happy with it ever since. :-)

Secondly, where can I find dfkt's or yuki's themes that were mentioned here? I only found additional themes at http://themes.rockbox.org/index.php?...=sansaclipplus but as far as I can tell, dfkt's and yuki's are not on that page.
