RockboxUtility works fine with me with new OF. So no problems here

All you need to do is download and install the two files at the beginning of this forum topic.

Think the rockboxutility only works with the .09. But it seems that dfkt has a bootloader wich works with the .15 (look at the beginning of this thread).
If you want to use Rockboxutility you can get the .09 OF here.

Same problem was here. RockboxUtility is working only with older OF 01.02.09 so the only way to install new OF and rockbox is to do it manually. Thats wy im waiting for RockboxUtility update ^^ oh and btw can I install Polish "talking files"? however it is... If yes than how, where to download it or eventually how to make my own files? I'm not sure if I'm talking clear but I hope you got the point

01.02.15 works great with me when using RockBox Utility. I am using Mac OSX.

I use the the new V2 Rockbox bootloader patched with 01.02.15 and it seems to works like a champ with Rocbox Utility.

Looks very tempting indeed. Makes me a little nervous though. As I understand it, you place the .rockbox, bootloader-clipplus, and the clppa .bin file into the root of the player, unplug, and it will update itself. Very tempting indeed. This program looks awesome. Thanks for all the hard work. Much appreciated.

I need to read up on it some more.

Rockbox Utility tells me to use 01.02.09 (when trying to use 01.02.15!).

But it doesn't matter, does it?

Before this goes on any longer: That's why I provided a ready-to-go version of the v2 bootloader including the newest 1.2.15 Sansa firmware in the first post of this thread...

Ho I know that, I'm just wondering why it's not working for me (01.02.15 + Rockbox utility) while it is for Artmuzz!

In your post you mentioned Rockbox utility. Inn dftk's post he posted a firmware file that does not require rockbox utility. My guess is that you did not download and use his patched firmware file, but instead tried to patch your own using rockbox utility, thus you're having trouble.

Also, Artmuzz is probably using an SVN build of rockbox utility while you are not.

The Rockbox Utility build I am using was downloaded from the RockBox site for Mac OSX. This is the version I downloaded here...

http://download.rockbox.org/rbutil/m...ity-v1.2.6.dmg

What exactly is the SVN build?

For the third time on this page:

Either use dfkt's link, or download a firmware file that your copy of rbutil knows how to patch.

I think that Artmuzz firstly used dfkt's files, then ran rbutil to install new releases.

I hate quoting myself, sorry for being such a newb, but I guess I should have made it more of a question than a statement. Is what I said above correct? Or is it JUST the .rockbox file and the .bin into the root directory, like I read on page 1. If so, what is the bootloaderclipplus file for? Sorry again, I hate asking what seems to be so obvious to everyone else.

Use RBUtil: http://www.rockbox.org/download/

or do it manually, check this page: http://www.rockbox.org/wiki/SansaAMS

Check the first post of this thread as well

EDIT: Don't hate asking what seems to be obvious to everyone else, because one thing is always obvious to someone!

Why are you replying to my post in that manner. I am not the person who is having problems and I have been using dfkt's link and downloading the Rockbox Utility and having no problems with that either.

So I am afraid you are replying to the wrong person as I am not having any problems myself and I was only trying to help the guys and gals who were having problems by giving that link to where I downloaded a good working version of RockBox Utility.
