NWZ-S544 "Please connect walkman"?

I bought the sony walkman s series 8gb mp3 player yesterday. & im having problems with the installation i get the icons on my computer screen, but it still doesn't work i get a window that says "Please connect walkman," but the walkman is connected. im really annoyed by it so i uninstalled it. i need help getting it to work so if anyone has this kind of mp3 player Please tell me how to make it work. by the way i have Windows Vista.

You know, you don't have to use the Walkman software. A lot of us use other programs....MediaMonkey, WinAmp, J.River Media Jukebox, or even the dreaded WMP(don't use WMP!).

I don't have Vista, but on Windows 7 both my S545 and my E345 work like a charm. Good luck!
