Hi, can I ask the following about the X-series:
1. Is the USB cable standard or proprietary? 2. Is there a USB connector built in like some other Sonys? 3. If you get the bluetooth dongle from Sony, can you use it to transfer music to the unit? 4. What's the difference between the X-1000 and X-1050? Cheers!

2. See above 3. No 4. X-1000 is a generic name for the whole X10xx series. It means both X1050 and X1060.

Proprietary built in is fine! I take it it's a special cable though?

It's the standard cable Sony uses on most of its DAPS.
1050 is 16GB; 1060 is 32. |

Special cable, the same as older devices by Sony - WM Port.

Cheers mate. I got the A-Series in the end which has the same amplifier as the X series. Pretty damn happy with it!
Thanks again for your answers :] |

I got a 32gb 846. Bloody nice (check the sig). Such a weird distribution thing they've got going on. The 64gb is only available in Japan. The 32gb is available in Malaysia (where I am now) and nothing is available in Europe and the USA. In fact, the 32gb one is only in two shops here. The S-series amp is lovely though...purrrrrrrr!
