Clip not recognized by Windows 7 (MTP)
Hi -
I have an older Clip (4Gb) with firmware version V01.01.30A. It works perfectly on Windows XP (3 different systems). I just built a Windows 7 system and the Clip gets an error when in MTP mode I connect it to USB. Not too familiar with Win7 diagnosis - so I'm not sure how to proceed. It works fine in MSC mode - but my music is not visible since I put it on the Clip in MTP mode. Anyone else having problems with Windows 7 and Clip??? Any ideas or suggestions??? Thanks, - Ray

The easiest fix is taking your music off in MTP mode (on a computer where it works), then putting it on in MSC mode again. That way you never have to use MTP again, and your player will keep working normally.
