Hi, is there a way to keep it playing or use the radio while it is charging?

Yes, with any AC USB charger. Here's a good one.
(Or via computer USB as well - if you manage to put the cable just so far in that only the power pins of the USB plug make contact, but not the data pins. Needs some practice and a steady hand.)

Also, some USB cables are power--and not data--only.

Really, one can buy those? Nice, I cut the data lines on one cable myself.

Actually, I've received those when trying to buy a regular USB cable. Out of 3 retractable USB 2.0 cables bought at different times, 2 of them will only do power and not do data. These were no-name imports--obviously, quality control issues (and not worth the cost to mail them back and exchange).

It's not hard to take a needle and pry up one of the data contacts in the USB connector shell, then pull it out of the cable with small needle-nose pliers. Of course it depends on exact design of the connector but the far most common type/design are those I am referring to.

Power only cables were included with my Lenmar Power port mini and Tekkeon mp1550 battery packs.
