Firmware 3.03 for R1!

Much awaited, it has finally been released according to my requests and bug reports to the R&D.

Here are the improvements:
-Fix the touch operating error in music pause condition
-Fix the playback error of some AAC files
-Fix the spelling error of calendar (FRU -> FRI)
-Fix the FM preset deleting error

But I'm not sure they already improved battery life in standby mode.

Hmm. Is there any guide on creating UCIs? I'm getting a black screen only, when exporting the swf from the *unmodified* SDK. I'm on 3.03 EU.

I haven't noticed any improvement in this department.

By the way, is it normal that applying a firmware revision erases every configuration in the device? Like the icons and widgets on the screens, the MSC/MTP mode, etc? Everytime you upgrade the firmeware it's like it resets everything and you have to go over all of it again.

Yes that's normal.
I don't know if they could avoid it but doesn't surprise me that it resets your settings when you install a new OS on your device
