A few days back, while organizing the album art on my S9, I accidentally forgot to take the S9 off the cable and it was on this way all night. What I'm wondering is, what effect, if any, will this have on the S9? I imagine the battery will be somewhat dulled by the overcharging (I'm not sure if this is how the charging works on this device, but for most others, this would be the case).

Once the S9 detects that the battery is fully charged, it stops charging. There is no danger of over charging the unit. Mine is always connected to the USB for almost 8 hours daily while I am at work.

Pretty much all devices that use lithium ion batterys have a cut off at both ends, meaning you cannot over charge them, or over discharge them.
Leaving it plugged in wont hurt it. |
