Archos Releases Dev Edition FW

Some open source goodness comes out of Archos - Dev Edition FW running Ångström Linux. It would appear that they are as interested in tapping into the A5A's potential as the community is, as well as bettering their image a little. The fact that only 4 months into its existence we can run Linux on the thing can only be a positive sign.

Confused?
I'm sorry but I don't know what that means? I'm considering purchasing an A5A 500GB, but I've read mixed reviews on it. What do you or anyone suggest? Are they going to come out with a newer better one soon?
