I'm considering a D2+ but I would like to know some things.
1- 1 - I'm going to listen music in my house, I'm not going out with my D2. I listen to Classical, rock and Brazilian music. I would like to know if the AKG K 26 P it´s a good headphone for the D2 audio quality and for this kind of music. 2- 2 -With this in mind, do I need to buy a Fiio E5? 3- 3- Does a USB AC charger work well with the D2? How much time it takes to charge the battery? 4- 4 -Which SDHC card brand do you recommend for me? It's Transcend a good one? I´m sorry to bother you with too many questions, I'm almost sure that the D2 will fit my expectations, im expending my money on this...

1) Not sure with the headphone but you will be better off with a headphone amp at home
2) No, Fiio E5 is quite a low end portable amp IMO. D2+ has more then enough tweaks for your audio. If it is not enough, most likely you need to look for higher end portable amps as AFAIK the E5 only enhance the bass a bit, that's all 3)Haven't tried it before, if possible get the AC charger from cowon, its supposed to full charge in around 3 hours and you are supposedly able to play if you charge it through that port instead of the usb 4) Haven't used one yet |

1. I agree with the previous post. You should look into a tube amp or an Audiophile Products Cute Curve
2. I have the FIIO E5 and it does not due much for the D2 or D2+. 3. Use the Cowon charger. Only takes a few hours to fully charger and you can listen to the unit while charging. 4. I am partial to Kingston either Class 2 or Class 4 SDHCs |

1.) K26 is a rather bad sounding phone in my opinion. Shrill and unrefined. In that price range I would go with Sennheiser PX100.
2.) No, absolutely not. 3.) About 3 hours. The D2+ does not come with an AC charger like the older D2, you have to provide your own. You cannot use the D2 while plugged into the standard USB port, only the microUSB port that's made for the dedicated charger. 4.) It doesn't matter at all. Card speed classes don't matter as well, if you don't use a dedicated card reader. Don't buy the cheapest junk, buy a brand card like Sandisk or Kingston. Quote:

This DAC/headphone amp should cost around a D2+ price
http://www.mavaudio.com/base/product/tube_magic_d1/ Quite popular over at my country with one of the store and its regulars. Haven't got a listen to it myself though |

Try the Ultimate Ears metro-fi 220s. They cost around 80 to 90 dollars and the sound quality is excellent. Best I have heard so far.

Something like Sennheiser HD or PX series?
I'm not sure about prices, but PX100/PX100-II/PX200/PX200-II are good headphones. Also, take a look at HD435 or similar if you are searching for less portable headphones. |

Ok. And what about the EH series? Are the EH 150 and EH 250 better than theese PX and Hd435? Wich one, EH 150 or EH 250, will be better for classical and brasilian music?
I'm sorry, these thread should be in headphone's section... |

Look for the Audio-Technica ATH-M50, they go great w/a Cowon dap. Heck, they go great w/any player.

If you do a Google search you'll be able to find them for less. I've seen some locate them on ebay for under $100. Me, I paid $130.00, so I got shafted.
FYI: If you had posted in the Headphones section of the forum you would have gotten more assistance w/your inquiry. Speeds up getting the info you need.

I've bought my D2+ and i'm very happy with it. I would like to know if i need to install all the firmwares or just the new version (version 2.13). Sorry for the silly question.

Actually I'm still on a quite old firmware since the firmware updates don't update anything I use
