Hey guys. The other day I downloaded an MP3. Well, the problem is, the file is corrupt, and I can't delete it, or even move it. It says it's already open in another program, when it isn't. I've tried restarting and everything I could think of. The file doesn't have a virus, as I swept right after I discovered this unfortunate fact out, and no "YOU HAVE A VIRUS" indicators lit up. So eh...is there any way to force my computer to terminate this file (and folder it's in)?
Thanks. EDIT: PROBLEM SOLVED

Have you tried booting to safe mode and deleting?

I am not familiar with this "Safe mode", of which you speak. Do tell, please.
EDIT: Thanks Walk, it worked!

To the OP: FYI, what you are experiencing is a fairly common issue on most Win PCs. It happens enough so that stuff like Unlocker is out there. I use Unlocker at least once a day if not more...simple, quick, small and safe [just don't use it on critical system files]. cheers, -lestatar |
