Nvidia's CEO said that this is the year of the tablet so Nvidia will be hitting this space hard pushing its chips though third party partners such as ASUS, MS, Compal, and others. In fact they have 50 designs being worked on that will contain the Tegra 2. The good news is Nvidia isnt going to be married to one platform, they will be releasing Windows and Android based devices. To kick sand in Apple's face they are working directly with Adobe in order to get flash and Adobe's Open Screen project to Tegra devices. One of the demo promos they showed was a girl hanging out in bed playing Farmville. Great, just what we need right? |

That video was very good. It makes me wonder if the Kindle is in trouble with that E ink emulator.

Every digital photo frame above 5" should have been a tablet PC. I think I got suckered into buying 3 or 4 just because they were cool, but every one disappointed me with how limited they were.

Epetche- 50 tablets on the drawing board?
Holy hell, will be hard to actually find anything good in that mess. Tablets really are going to need some sort of unified push to offer a tablet operating system, and no, it better not be Windows XP or Windows 7 with a touch operation layer or even worse a stylus. |

I think many of them will run android, and while the maker can customize it (like HTC does with its Sense UI) it's still basically the same OS so you won't be lost.
I'm really looking forward to the Notion Ink Adam : Android + Tegra 2 + Transflective PixelQi Screen... yummy !

I wouldn't go that far, Intel and nokia have merged there respective mobile os's. IMO as of right now maemo/meego is better than android. |

I sure hope Tegra takes off. nVidia needs the success.
Windows 7 and x86 aren't suitable for tablets. Courier if I'm not mistaken is built atop WinCE. A tablet with the Courier's UI or WP7S' would be interesting.

NVIDIA Tegra 2 will be better off making uber-awesome-hi-tech-modern-UIs for the tablet than play games... right? i can't really imagine playing a PC game on a tablet..

oh and RTS would be fun because you have innovative controls for the game, specailly when you select a large amount of units to go attack a base, you can have guestures for controlling it. must like the game "black and white" when they made it for the immersion glove thing. think of the possibilites of it. it could create a new niche game market. but better then nintendo's flailing wiimotes at the poor tv kinda market.
