Hi Everyone,
I’m shopping for two new headphones for use with the D2+ and would appreciate any recommendations. I’m looking for an “under $100” portable (IEM type) for casual listening on-the-go, and a “reference-quality” headset for use at home, in the recording studio, and to plug into my Hammond organ of course (what else?). I’m looking for phones that offer well balanced sound that can handle any type of music, my listening preferences are diverse, from Bach to the Beastie Boys. So far my two contenders are the MAXIMO iM-590 ($50) and Sennheiser HD-595 ($175). My main concerns… With an IEM is comfort. My outer ear is somehow incompatible with standard ear-bud phones so I’m hoping that a device that fits into the ear canal will do the trick. With the 595s, is the D2 powerful enough to drive these bad boys effectively? Thanks for any feedback! Organdude |
