Cowon s9 help

I just got a new Cowon s9 and was wondering why the names of the artists all have brackets around them and how you could get rid of these. Many of the artist's names also come up twice even though they are spelt in the same way so I would like to know if anyone could solve this too.

The brackets signifiy a folder rather than a file. I agree it's ugly.

If you install Claw UI (also called Wallpaper UI) you can turn them off, and also get rid of file extensions in folder browsing.

The UI is available on this forum and iaudiophile (an essential forum to register at if you're a Cowon owner and want to get the most from your device)

As for artists showing up twice - either they are not spelled the same way (for instance there is a space at the end of the name on one and not the other you didn't notice) or you are looking at folder browsing mode and have two folders for an artist.

If they are spelled the same way (and it is caps sensitive) then they will only show up once.
