Help what about the tuner of the i7/i9?

after making a big mistake by buying a truly crappy archos 2 (sorry, but that's my experience after 2 months...) i strongly fancy now for the iaudio i7/i9. rather the i7, because i really like the imo pretty cool design and the form factor better.

as far as i found out in the reviews here, the i7 meets my needs pretty well. outstanding battery lifetime, very good sound quality, edit: forgot on-the-go playlists, customizable in many ways, drag'n'drop (i'm a mac user who doesn't want an ipod ), and at the moment available for € 85,- for the 16gig version via ebay/cowon germany, which is a pretty good deal.

what holds me back are questions about the tuner quality. the little i found says, that the tuner on the i7/i9 is not the best. what are your experiences?

listening to fm radio is an issue for me, since i listen quite often to my favourite station. had a sansa c240 with a rather bad tuner. being on the way via tram/bus it was impossible to get decent reception, even when switched to mono. the tuner of the archos 2 is far better, imo the reception of the tuner is the only good thing on this device, though i still use it only in mono mode, since this provides me a sound without any hiss and cracks and distortion when being on the way.

anyone here who uses the fm-radio of the i7 frequently who will share his experiences?
