Ladies and gentlemen, I have been looking at these threads for a very long time trying to find out a problem that I and many other users of the Samsung p2 have. Although looking through the threads that have the same problems as my Samsung P2, no one has managed to come up with a solution to the problem that I have.
PROBLEM: the Samsung P2 will turn on (I think), as the sound can be heard through the headphones. The LED light also turns red when it is turned on. However, the touch screen will not display ANYTHING AT ALL; it remains as though it was never turned on in the first place. Description of current status of my YP-P2 - I've had it over a year therefore warranty is no longer an option - I have ensured the lock switch is indeed down - I have tried the reset button at the back of the player; (held it for 10 seconds and also tried just clicking it) -tried the computer format -will connect to PC (device found) -device found in emodio -tried computer format -8 GB black yp-p2 I believe this is a problem that many have experienced, but they simply didn't do anything about it and just kept it in their closet for years (like me.) I therefore made an account just for this problem, an I hope anybody with information can come forward and help me out. Thank You, Daniel Mason |

since you dont have warranty, perhaps you can open it and see if anythings loose?
it just might be a loose connection.. just a thought |

would there be a specific connection you might be talking about? I have no idea about the inside of a Samsung P2..

could try opening it up and disconnecting the battery. That might discharge the board and reset the player
